Seeing Old Friends

There are numerous advantages to living in the same place for so many years. One of which is getting to "do life" (as Brent McKinney says) with many people. Last night, while dining at one of our favorite Thai restaurants, Noodle Swing, a couple, Russ and Mary, happened by on their way out of the restaurant. They stopped to chat, and ended up sitting for a bit as we had so much to catch up on. We met this couple and their three children when we attended another church some years ago. While we were at that church, we were all involved in a "puppet ministry" and made a trip one year to other areas of Texas, using puppets to spread the gospel. Our children were in middle and elementary school, and it was a lot of fun.

So when they stopped to visit with us, it was as if the years between had disappeared. It was comfortable, and I liked that. We enjoyed our chat, and as they left, we said we needed to meet again...perhaps at Noodle Swing, a favorite of theirs also.

We've met a lot of people over the years living in Flower Mound. Too many to keep up with on a regular basis. But it's fun to be able to see some every so often and catch up on life. Life in FloMo...it does have its advantages.
